Here, I am going to tell you, how to make a 3d model dynamo tutorial in 3ds max.
I have used spline techniques in making of this tutorial.

[1]First, go to the shapes and select rectangle of this size.

[2]Go to modifier panel and select extrude modifier and apply it.

[3]You will have a shape like this.

[4]Then convert it into Editable poly.

[5]By switching to the polygon mode, select the bottom view and select the polygon like this.

[6]Hit on bevel by this amount and hit OK.

[7]Then select the top polygon.

[8]Hit bevel again by this amount.’

[9]Then extrude by height 4.

[10]You will have a shape like this.

[11]Then select the line tool and draw a figure like this.

[12]Go to the modifier panel and take LATHE modifier and apply it.

[13]This is your shape after LATHE.

[14]Again add one more modifier that is shell modifier.

[15]Also add mesh smooth modifier.

[16]Then select line and draw a shape like this.

[17]Then add LATHE modifier.

[18]Again add Shell modifier.

[19]Then mesh smooth and you have a shape like this.

[20]Again take line and draw a figure like this.

[21]Then add extrude modifier by this amount.

[22]One more time take a line and draw like this.

[23]Apply LATHE modifier.

[24]You have a shape like this.

[25]Then add both shell and mesh smooth modifiers.

[26]Then take a box of this size.

[27]Then go to the compound objects, select Boolean and subtract B from A.

[28]Again take a box of this size.

[29]Copy it one time.

[30]Place the box like this.

[31]Then go to the compound objects, select Boolean and subtract B from A.

[32]Then take a cylinder and place it like this.

[33]Go to the modifier panel and mesh smooth and apply it.

[34]Again take cylinder of this size and copy it three times.

[35]Place all of them like this.

[36]Take a hemi-sphere of this size and put it like this.

[37]Your model will look like this.

[38]Press M and add a wood good map on it.

[39]Select the steel part and add a texture like this.

[40]Select the handle and take diffuse color as shiny black.

[41]Take a plane.

[42]This is the final model.
