Here I will teach you how to create a 3dsmax 3d model drum barrel studio tutorial.
I have used following techniques in this 3ds max tutorial.
Editable poly modeling and Blend material effect techniques
[1]-First of all you will press (ctrl+N) now you will see the new window is open
Now click on the Geometry > Standard primitives > Plane and Using the following Setting
Create a plane in the front view

[3]-Now click on the Geometry > Standard primitives > Cylinder and Using the following Setting
Create a Cylinder in the Top view

[5]-Select the object right click then select the Editable poly and select the polygon mode in the Editable poly

[7]-Now click on the Extrude Button in the Editable poly parameter
you will see the Extrude polygon palette is open use thee following setting

[9]-Apply the (Turbo Smooth) modifier in the modifier list

[11]-Press (M) you will see the material window is open
Click on the Standard button > Select the Blend > your material ball should like this

[12]-Click on the (Material-1) and put map like this image as shown below

[16]-Now click on the light > Omni and use the following setting set the omni like this
