Here I will show how to make a lipstick model in 3ds max.
I have used following techniques in making of this tutorial.
[1]First create a box of this size in the top view port.
[2]Convert to into editable poly.
[3]Switch to the vertex mode and select these vertices and drag them downwards.
[4]Select the polygon and hit on the Detach button.
[5]Place the detach element like this.
[6]Then switch to the edges mode and select the edges and hit cap button.
[7]Select the polygon and hit insert polygon.
[8]Then hit the extrude button and extrusion will be 60 units.
[9]Then go to the modifier panel and add shell by inner amount 10.
[10]Then take a tube in the top view port and place it like this.
[11]Take a box, place it like this and convert it into editable poly.
[12]Switch to the vertex mode and select the vertex like this.
[13]Resize the box again.
[14]Select the upper two vertices and transform then like this.
[15] After that select the vertex as shown in the figure drag it upwards.
[16]Select the box and apply mesh smooth to it.
[17]Your image will look like this.
[18]This is the final image.
