Here I will show how to make a screw driver in 3ds max.
I have used following techniques in making of this tutorial.
[1]First take Ngon of this size in the top view port.
[2]Go to the modifier panel select extrude and apply it.
[3]Convert it into editable poly.
[4]Select the top polygon like this.
[5]Then add a extrusion by 80 units.
[6]Then add bevel of this parameters.
[7]It will look like this.
[8]Again add extrusion by 15 units.
[9]Add some bevel again.
[10]It will look like this.
[11]Add a little extrusion again.
[12]Then hit on the outline polygon and adjust it like this.
[13]Insert polygon by 3.
[14] It will look like this.
[15]Add negative bevel by 2 units.
[16]Add a mesh smooth to it by iteration-3.
[17]Your image will look like this.
[18]Take another Ngon of radius 5 and sides 12.
[19]Add extrude modifier by 0.1 units.
[20]Convert it into editable poly.
[21]Select the polygon and extrude by 250 units.
[22]Again add extrusion by 10 units.
[23]Then add outline polygon by -4.5 units.
[24]This will look like this.
[25]Switch to the vertex mode and select the vertexes like this.
[26]Drag the selected vertexes downwards.
[27]Select the edges as shown in the figure and hit chamfer.
[28]Add a mesh smooth to it.
[29]Place it like this.
[30]Rotate the object like this.
[31]This is your final image.
