Hello friends I will show how create a stock vector illustration 3d piece of newspapers images tutorial.
I have used following techniques shown below in this 3ds max tutorial.

[1]-Choose the Plane and create plane with the following size
    Place the rectangle like me

[2]-Convert the plane into the editable poly

[3]-Select the vertexes like this

[4]-Apply the shell modifier with the amount of 0.05

[5]-Your object should like this

[6]-Create the materials like this

[7]-This is the final image
